Dr. Rawad Samarani received his DDS and his MSc in Periodontology from the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, where he is currently a part-time lecturer. He has published several scientific articles and a textbook chapter on Guided Bone Regeneration published by Wiley Blackwell. He runs a multi-specialty private practice with an included training facility in Byblos, Lebanon. His courses cover ridge augmentation, socket management and full arch implant treatment.Lecture Title:

Abstract

Single tooth failure In the esthetic zone continues to be a major challenge to practitioners. The existence of many treatment options, techniques, and materials only makes decision making and treatment even more difficult.

Dr. Samarani will try during this lecture to go through a streamlined decision making process based on the available literature and on his personal preferences. He will teach, using a step by step approach, when and how to perform a socket preservation procedure and an immediate implant. He will address material selection and he will also teach how and when to perform a combined soft tissue grafting.

He will support his propositions with long term clinical documentation.
